Background

Agent orange use in Vietnam.
  • Member of chlorophenoxy pesticide group, and are often contaminated with dioxin
  • Gained notoriety during Vietnam War

Mechanism

  • Absorbed through skin, GI tract, and respiratory tract
  • Acts on skeletal muscle but exact mechanism unknown
