About

Dr. Reel is a third-year pediatric resident at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). She is currently applying to Hematology and Oncology fellowship programs. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, where she studied Health & Exercise Science, Chemistry, and Health & Human Services. During that time, she participated in research with Wake Forest's Brenner FIT (Families in Training) pediatric and family based weight management program. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine in 2020 from Wake Forest University, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society (AOA). Dr. Reel is passionate about education, research, and advocacy. She is a member of the Firearm Safety Coalition through the office of the CEO of CCHMC and has created a lecture series for residents in primary care surrounding firearm safety screening and counseling. She was introduced to WikEM and editing opportunities through an outstanding fellow mentor, Dr. Cindy Chang; an inspiring teacher and knowledgeable leader in the Pediatric Emergency Department. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys dancing, running, and crafting. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and their two cats, Taco and Lobster.
