Adult Dosing

  • ETOH withdrawal: 15-30mg PO 3-4 times per day
  • Insomnia: 15mg PO at bedtime

Pediatric Dosing

Safety/efficacy not established in children <12yo

  • >12yo, ETOH withdrawal: 15-30mg PO 3-4 times per day

Special Populations

  • Pregnancy Rating: C
  • Lactation risk: Infant risk cannot be ruled out
  • Renal dosing: no adjustment
  • Hepatic dosing: clearance may be reduced in severe liver disease

Contraindications

  • Allergy to class/drug
  • Psychosis
