Orlando Health Program

History

They are a well-established three year program since 1986 and enjoy continuous clinical and academic growth. The heart and soul of ORMC's program are the wonderful residents who comprise it. An impressive diverse patient mix, superb bedside teaching, outstanding clinical and academic training embedded in a supportive culture are the signatures of the residency experience there. Happy residents, a family atmospthere, camaraderie and a wonderful place to live provide the platform for resident life in their program.

PGY1

  • Emergency Medicine (integrated adult and pediatrics) which includes one month of orientatioN- 5 months
  • Emergency Medicine (integrated adult and pediatrics) which includes one month of orientation – 4 months
  • Dedicated Pediatric Emergency Medicine – 1 month
  • Anesthesia and Emergency Ultrasound – 1 month
  • Medical ICU – 1 month
  • Medicine Wards – 1 month
  • OB/GYN – 1 month
  • Ortho – 1 month
  • Trauma and General Surgery – 2 months

PGY2

  • Emergency Medicine – 8 months
  • Critical Care (Medical, Surgical, Pediatric) – 1 month each
  • Elective – 1 month
  • EMS – 1 month
  • Selective (Medical Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care or ED Rotation) – 1 month

PGY3

  • Emergency Medicine – 9 months
  • Community Emergency Medicine – 1 month
  • Dedicated Teaching – 1 month
  • Elective – 2 months
