History
Merit Health Wesley's AOA and ACGME initial accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program is a four-year program which shall accept six residents each year for a total of 24 when filled. The program focuses on providing quality emergency medical training: the curriculum will include education in cardiology, obstetrics, surgery, trauma, pediatrics and critical care, among others..
The program boasts both synergy with and extensive involvement from attending physicians. Based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the program offers life in a family-friendly city environment, with ample activities and opportunities for spouses and families with children.
