Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas (CMESL) is the primary institution responsible for delivering secondary and tertiary healthcare services to a broad population encompassing the city of Ponce and numerous municipalities across Puerto Rico’s southern and western regions. This 427-bed facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a fully operational cardiac catheterization lab and a robust vascular surgery service. CMESL also serves as a vital academic hub, offering graduate medical education to over 100 resident physicians and clinical training to a substantial number of medical students from its affiliate, Ponce Health Sciences University.

PR Medical Center

Trauma and Trauma ICU rotations are conducted at this facility, the only Level II Trauma Center in Puerto Rico. Located in San Juan, this site offers one of the most comprehensive trauma experiences available in any Emergency Medicine residency.
