Background
- Hyperventilation leading to:
- respiratory alkalosis
- extremity/circumoral paresthesias
- carpopedal spasm
- May mimic heat cramps
Diagnosis
- Differentiate from Heat Cramps based on little pain, no cramping in muscle compartments

Environmental heat diagnoses
Treatment
- Remove from heat
- Decrease respiratory rate
