Background

  1. Hyperventilation > respiratory alk > extremity/circumoral paresthesia, carpopedal spasm

Diagnosis

  1. Differentiate from Heat Cramps based on little pain, no cramping in muscle compartments

Treatment

  1. Remove from heat
  2. Decrease resp rate
