Background
- painless bleeding from fetal origin
- mother's life not in danger
- defect in placental formation
- umbilical vessels travel through placental membranes unsupported by other placental tissue
- also caused by extra lobe on placnta
Diagnosis
- suspect of mother with min vag bleeding and no pain, no contractions, no mat symptoms but fetus with signficant distress
Treatment
c-section
