History

Welcome to the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of the premier clinical, educational, and research institutions in the United States. The program is designed to provide a challenging, hands-on patient care experience in two large emergency departments Birmingham, AL. The program conforms to all requirements specified by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and is fully accreditated by the Residency Review Committee for Emergency Medicine.
