University of Chicago
History
University of Chicago Emergency Medicine Residency is one of the country’s oldest training programs in emergency medicine. Program alumni have distinguished themselves by achieving leadership roles in the academic, teaching, political, and practice arenas of emergency medicine.
Its university-based program is unique in that it is comprised of three level one trauma centers located in distinctly different socio-demographic settings. This insures its residents an incredibly diverse, comprehensive clinical training experience in a three year training format.
