Background

  • Hypersensitivity to cold air or water
  • In rare cases, this may lead to fatal anaphylaxis

Acute allergic reaction

Cold injuries

Management

  • Treat similarly to urticarial lesions from other causes (i.e. antihistamines)
  • Avoidance of cold is recommended

Disposition

  • Outpatient
