He is also President & CEO of [http://www.criticalinnovations.com Critical Innovations LLC], as well as a full Professor of Emergency Medicine at the [https://medschool.ucla.edu/ David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA]. Triple-boarded in emergency medicine, emergency medical services, and clinical informatics, Dr. Donaldson has been principal investigator on over $50 million dollars’ worth of funding, with a focus on research and development efforts bringing innovative emergency, critical, and trauma care technologies to market. He is the inventor of a host of patented medical technologies. Dr. Donaldson has been featured as an expert on CNN, BBC, NPR, and other media outlets, and an invited speaker at over a hundred national and international conferences, including at Medical Design & Manufacturing, Department of Defense, and various think tanks. He has worked around the globe, frequently in areas of conflict and recent disaster, and been the lead architect of national emergency care plans in several countries.
