  • Uncomfortable, but not life-threatening

Clinical Features

  • Irritability
  • Paranoid ideation
  • Depression/ anhedonia
  • Anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Increased appetite
  • Increased sleep and increased dreaming (due to increased REM sleep)

Differential Diagnosis

Evaluation

  • Clinical diagnosis

Management

  • Supportive care is mainstay of treatment
  • Benzodiazepines for symptom management

Disposition

  • Generally may be discharged
