Christiana Care Health
History
The first categorical residency class began their education in 1980, making the program one of the oldest in the nation. The residency has been lead by lead by physicians of the small democratic private group: Doctors for Emergency Medicine (DFES) which began in 1969. The residency has been managed by the democratic group since its inception. The residency mission as an organization is to serve their neighbors as expert, caring partners in their health. They do this by creating innovative, effective, affordable systems of care that their neighbors value. This is their promise to you. They call it The Christiana Care Way.
