Background

  • Caused by Bartonella henselae

Clinical Features

  • Cat (normally kitten) exposure
  • Lymphadenitis proximal to exposure
  • Parinaud's oculoglandular syndrome-conjunctivitis, granuloma, periauricular adenopathy
    • From direct inoculation of the eye

Differential Diagnosis

Workup

  • IFA serology

Management

  • Immunocompetent

Disposition

Prognosis

  • Approximately 10% of nodes suppurate
