Administration

Adult Dosing

  • 6.25-150mg PO three times per day

Contraindications

  • Allergy to class/drug
  • History of ACE-inhibitor induced angioedema

Adverse Reactions

Serious

  • Angioedema
  • Stevens-Johnson syndrome
  • Agranulocytosis, neutropenia

Mechanism of Action

  • Inhibits angiotensin I-converting enzyme, blocks conversion of angiotensin I→ angiotensin II
