History

The Texas A&M/CHRISTUS Spohn graduate medical education program in Emergency Medicine is located in coastal Corpus Christi, Texas. The program began in July 2007. It is a PGY-1 to PGY-3 program with ten residents in each post-graduate class. The Texas A&M/CHRISTUS Spohn graduate medical education programs include only emergency medicine and family medicine, providing the resident greater opportunity to attain procedural competence and decision making skills without having to share patient-care experiences with general surgery and other surgical subspecialties.
