Administration
- Type: Amebicide

Adult Dosing
- 650 mg 3 times daily after meals for 20 days
- Not to exceed 1.95 g daily
Pediatric Dosing
- Children: 30-40 mg/kg daily (maximum: 650 mg per dose) in 3 divided doses for 20 days
- Not to exceed 1.95 g daily

- Limited data on use during pregnancy

Contraindications
- Allergy to class/drug
- Concerns with optic neuritis
