Background
- Multiple types of finger splint exists

Indications
- Phalangeal fracture
- Gutter splints probably better for proximal fractures
Procedure
- Assess pulse (capillary refill), motor, and sensation
- Apply splint and secure to finger at multiple points (e.g. with tape) - avoid placing securing straps over joints
- Reassess pulse, motor, and sensation
