Their mission is to train residents to become the best emergency physicians who are prepared to practice emergency medicine in any kind of setting. The key to their program is diversity. Their residents are exposed to a very diverse patient population at MSBI, including high acuity clinical cases and various pathology. Their residents also experience emergency medicine at a variety of clinical sites, therefore allowing them to become clinically adaptable and ready to face the real world when they finish their training program. Their graduates have advanced their careers by completing fellowships, obtaining hospital and departmental administrative roles, acquiring additional degrees and entrepreneurship. They have a very diverse group of faculty who have expertise in numerous subspecialty areas such as administration, critical care, ethics, medical education, pediatrics, simulation and ultrasound. Their faculty are excellent educators who are committed to enhancing the learning environment within their program.

Program Director believes that there are so many special and unique aspects to their program. He personally loves being a Program Director and it truly is because of their amazing residents! History

Clinical training takes place at Beth Israel Medical Center's Petrie Division with rotations in trauma at Elmhurst Hospital Center and pediatric Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. All clinical training sites are in close proximity to Beth Israel, and all are easily accessible via mass transportation.
