Background
- Single wire system inserted into the S3 sacral foramen to stimulate sacral nerve and treat urinary or bowel incontinence and/or retention
Complications
- Infection (early or late complication)
- Pain
- Device rejection due to allergic or immune response
- Lead migration or erosion
- Stimulator misfiring, transient electric shock
- Seroma, hemorrhage, hematoma
- Nerve injury, paralysis
- Adverse change in voiding or bowel function
