History
Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) partners with Midwestern University to offer our Emergency Medicine Residency Program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. At KRMC, emergency medicine residents take on a high level of independence and responsibility as they serve a diverse patient population.
KRMC is the only rural hospital in Arizona with an Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Here, future emergency physicians gain vital experience in a unique practice environment. This program offers high-volume, high-acuity training in an unopposed residency setting, allowing residents to build skills in a range of emergency medicine-based procedures and clinical decision making.
During their three years in our residency, in addtion to top-tier foundational rotations, our residents have the opportunity to choose electives in a wide range of specialties such as international medicine, wildnerness medicine, medical spanish among many more.
Our faculty includes fellowship trained Ultrasound and Wilderness medicine attendings as well as those that work with SWOT, Arizona Air Rescue, Search and Rescue and sit on state and national committees.
