Template pages do not need a references section since when then are embedded on a page that has the <nowiki><references/></nowiki> then it also pulls in the templates individual references.  Basically each content page needs a <nowiki><references/></nowiki> tag but the individual template pages only need to have the <nowiki><ref></ref></nowiki>  and then they use the <nowiki><references/></nowiki>of the main page  -[[User:Ostermayer|Daniel Ostermayer]] ([[User talk:Ostermayer|talk]]) 16:12, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Referencing on a Template

Template pages do not need a references section since when then are embedded on a page that has the <references/> then it also pulls in the templates individual references. Basically each content page needs a <references/> tag but the individual template pages only need to have the <ref></ref> and then they use the <references/>of the main page -Daniel Ostermayer (talk) 16:12, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
